One of my favorite sayings

Well-behaved women seldom make history.
---Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

From Wikipedia: Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (born July 11, 1938), is a pre-eminent historian of early America and the history of women and a university professor at Harvard University. Ulrich's innovative and widely influential approach to history has been described as a tribute to "the silent work of ordinary people"—an approach that, in her words, aims to "show the interconnection between public events and private experience."

at the salon

I took darling granddaughter to the salon with me so I could get a haircut. When I was done she looked up at me and the stylist and said, "Am I next?"

I can just imagine her with bobbed hair (oh, the horror). Grammies do not mess with hair.
